Went to Bear River Refuge today while camping near there (convinced the family, it was rainy so it's best to go on a drive). I know I am finally getting to be a better birder because I only had to pull the books out for a couple of birds, one was a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron - that was cool (once I figured out what it was). We also saw a Short-eared Owl, which I am not sure I would have spotted unless I went last week on the Utah County trip. Anyway, it was a great day, full list below.
