In 0.1.2, any attempt at using the "map" command results in an
exception: onPreviewLoaded().ReferenceError: geoip_latitude is not
defined

I'm not 100% sure that this is really a ubiquity problem (I suppose I
might have done something to cause this). However,
chrome://ubiquity/content/builtincmds.js no longer contains most of
the command sources; is there another URI for that, or do I have to
rummage through the FF extensions directory?

Thanks.

OK, I found the problem: NoScript

Anyone using the NoScript extension may run into this problem, because
NoScript may silently block the geoip javascript from maxmind.com.
The solution is, of course, to add an exception for the "maxmind.com"
domain.

I did a grep of the ubquity javascript, and extracted the following
domains, for possible inclusion in my NoScript whitelist:

azarask.in
digg.com
github.com
google.com
googleapis.com
htm2pdf.co.uk
maxmind.com
metacalc.com
mozilla.com
netsons.org
tinyurl.com
toolness.com
twitter.com
w3.org
wikipedia.org
wordpress.com
yahooapis.com

I don't know what some of these domains are, but I'm assuming that
they are safe.

For future reference, builtincmds.js is no longer used. The "built-in"
commands are now auto-subscribed feeds located in
/ubiquity/standard-feeds/
