Hi,
to get started on developing a (search) command for ubiquity you can take a look at the Ubiquity Author Tutorial https://wiki.mozilla.org/Labs/Ubiquity/Ubiquity_0.1_Author_Tutorial#The_Source_Code_of_Built-In_Commands and at the source of the builtin (search) commands http://hg.toolness.com/ubiquity-firefox/file/tip/ubiquity/chrome/content/builtincmds.js .

It is not necessary to develop a specific command for MSDN search as you can "install" MSDN search engine (go to http://search.msdn.microsoft.com ) among your browser search engines and then rely on the 'search' command with the 'with' modifier, e.g. issuing:

search steadystate with MSDN
