Hi,

Sorry for creating a topic for such a simple question, but I didn't
find the answer anywhere.

The behavior I want is to select one word in web and then right-
clicking on it, and them going to "Ubiquity - Translate" it updates
the word i've selected to another word in the language I set to be
default; in my case, portuguese-brazilian.

Is it possible to do that?

thanks
leandro

You can change the default translation language by setting
"extensions.ubiquity.default_translation_lang" using about:config
(you can set it to "pt" if you want it to be portuguese)

Then, you select the text in text area and doing "Ubiquity ->
Translate" will do the trick for you.

Hi pvncad

Thanks for helping! However, it didn't work. I select a word, context-
menu selected Translate, and it remains the same :(
My Windows is en-us (Win7 build 7000), my Firefox 3.1b2 is also en-us
and the first option in the "Tools-Options-Content-Language" is set to
English too. I prefer this to practice my english eheh

this is my about:config

hmm.. Does the normal translate command in ubiquity UI uses your
default language setting ?
(i.e bringing up the ubiquity UI and trying to translate ).

BTW, what is the version of ubiquity that you are using ?

Thanks

selecting the word and entering "translate selection from english"
didn't work... it stays the same. only works if I specify "translate
selection to portuguese".
i'm using ubiquity 0.1.4 from mozilla addons

thanks
