The first iteration of the feedly commands are out. They include:

Ability to mark an article as read in feedly and Google Reader
Ability to tag and share an article in feedly and Google Reader
Ability to tag and save and article for later (ie star in Google
Reader)
Ability to tweet an article
Ability to email an article using gmail and leveraging both yahoo and
gmail address book
Ability to overlay calais semantic information over the current page
Ability to explore topics

There is great synergy between the ubiquity framework and our streets
service bus so we will be pushing a few more commands over the next
could of week.

Here is more information if you are interested in kicking the tires
and letting us know what you think:

Special thanks to all the people who supported us over the last 3
days.

Very nice! I love the calais command.

The email command is a little dangerous though. I was testing it and I accidentally emailed a bunch of people cos I thought it would behave like Ubiquity's email command by taking you to the gmail tab but it directly sent the mails... Not a big issue, just a matter of consistency.

I will discuss the email inconsistency issue with our team on Friday.
In the meantime, we will try to make the wording more explicit. May be
rename it to feedly-quick-mail. Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome! One more thing, I really dislike the feedly prefix for every command. The best solution would probably be to keep the current names but add shorter synonyms without the prefix.

Nvm. I just saw that Blair already suggested this earlier.

One question: If we add a shorter tweet synonym, what happens to the
user experience if someone else creates another command called tweet?
Is ubiquity smart enough to know that in that case it should display
feedly-tweet? I am new to ubiquity: will play around with the synonyms
today to see how we we can improve the experience. Thanks.

Ok. We followed your suggestions and in patch 1.2.135 we removed
feedly- from the name of the commands, we added synonyms with feedly-
to allow users to more easily find all feedly related commanded and we
renamed email to quick-email to highlight that the email will be send
without opening the gmail window. You will get the patch next time you
restart the browser. Let's see how people react to that.

If I remember right.... if command 1 is named "feedly-tweet" with a
synonym of "tweet", and command 2 is named "tweet", then command 1 will
be accessible via "feedly-tweet" and command 2 will be accessible via
"tweet".

But with the wonders of Ubiquity, if you type "tweet", then both
commands will be suggested, as they both have "tweet" in their name.

However.... currently, if *both* commands are named "tweet", then
there's no guarantee which one will be accessible via "tweet". There's a
bug on this somewhere, I think.
