Hotkey not working

I'm having a problem with 0.1.2 for the past few weeks. It's happening on multiple computers, for what that's worth (Windows XP and Ubuntu 8.10, both running Firefox 3.0.4).

So I have Ctrl+Space set as the hotkey on both, but the Ubiquity window will not present itself. It does not appear to show up and be hidden; it is not there at all.

I have added a dozen or some command feeds, and I'm not sure if those could be causing the problem. I'm not sure how to "reset" my configuration or otherwise debug/troubleshoot, but I realize how much I use Ubiquity when I can't get to it!

Any ideas would be most appreciated!

There must be an application that is using that hotkey. Can you try going to about:ubiquity and changing to something like ctrl + alt + space ?
If it continues to not work, look at the Error Console (Tools -> Error Console) and send to us any error message there.

Thanks for your reply. Nothing else is using the shortcut. Incidentally, I couldn't change the shortcut to Ctrl+Alt+Space, it would only understand Alt+Space.

Regardless, I cleared the Error Console and then tested my shortcut. When I press the shortcut, I get the following error:

Now that I have something to go on, I searched online and found the two following pages:

I don't know if 0.1.1 is available anywhere, but I don't know what else to do to fix the problem at the moment. Any ideas?

I can only think installing the 0.1.2rc5 and re-upgrading to 0.1.2 made the difference yesterday, but it seems to be working again today. I'll keep my eye on it.

My machine developed the same problem after about 3 days of using
Ubiquity 0.1.3. I fixed it by unistalling the extension and then
going to my profile folder (on linux it's /home/
[yourusername]/.mozilla/firefox/[your profile] ) and manually deleting
ubiquity_skin_memory.sqlite and ubiquity_ann.sqlite. I then
reinstalled the extension.

It seems that Ubiquity does not uninstall cleanly.

Good point about it not uninstalling cleanly.  I've just pushed 0.2pre4, which has added a "troubleshooting" section to about:ubiquity that links to a page which allows you to reset Ubiquity to its "factory defaults", so to speak.  Could anyone having performance issues with Ubiquity try doing this and let us know if it helps?

Also, for those having performance issues, how fast is your system?

I am having the same problem where I get "gUbiquity is null" when
invoking the hot-key. So, I installed 0.2pre4 and tried to reset. But
when I press "reset and restart firefox" button, I get the following
error in Error Console:

Same problem over here, trying to issue Ubiquity doesn't work, here is
