GetImages 0.2.3 is available. The API used by it stopped working some
weeks ago: now the command is back, based on the official Google's
API. Check it out!

Thanks, Jimmy! I use this all the time. BTW, is there a way to
narrow the search to small images only? I often find myself looking
for web icons such as "next" arrows or "buy now" buttons etc.

Hi Jimmy,

This seems like a perfect command to uplift into Ubiquity proper. Is that something you are amenable to?

I should check the API... if it's possible I'll add it as a modifier.

Thanks.

Definitely a command we should have.

Can I go ahead and add it in?

Added it! I renamed it to google-image-search with getimages as a synonym. Or should it just be image-search?

Related note: we need to make synonyms more obvious.

Cheers,

getimages only seems to work on ubiquity skins where the preview pane
is on the right... for skins where the preview pane is below the
others, such as the 0.1 skin or enso, getimages does not cause the
preview pane to become enlarged so you can't see the results of the
search

image-search is better. i don't like those verbs with huge names.

I'd go for image-search too. The command now uses google's service,
but in the future something else might come up. I've just released
version 0.2.4 with the new naming.

Agreed. The more generic the name, the better.
