Hi Ben,
Right. I forgot about that. Yes, "we" should do that. Any volunteers?
Best regards,
Bill

Hi Bill,

I wonder if we should set up the MAG_DIRECT option so that the orientation automatically adjusts along with the UDB orientation.  For example: such that if you use ORIENTATION_BACKWARDS for your UDB4, and MAG_DIRECT plugged directly into the board, it'll just work.

I figure we should either do that, or add a comment by the mag option explaining that this only works if the UDB4 is using the standard orientation.  (Or am I wrong, and this will just work already?)

Thanks for adding this!  The mag connected directly to the UDB4 look really slick.

Ben

Team,

One of our members, Phil, has directly connected a magnetometer to his UDB4, which puts it in a new orientation. Attached is a picture of Phil's setup.

If you want to do the same thing, a new orientation option, MAG_DIRECT, has been added to the magnetometerOptions.h file in r1119 of MatrixPilot trunk. It is really only useful for the UDB4, but if for some reason you want to mount your magnetometer in that orientation with a previous version of UDB, you may do that.

Best regards,
Bill
