Developers,
Sooner or later "we" are going to have to publish some basic instructions for newbies on how to use the UDB4. Any volunteers?
Best regards,
Bill

Hi guy’s am struggling to get going with my UDB4

Items I have bought are :-

UDB4
Pickit 3
OpenLog
USB Serial Board
MediaTek GPS

Header pins and connector blocks to join it all together.

4 AA battery pack which I hope to attach a 2 amp 5v, voltage regulator
to.

I have been looking everywhere to see how to use the UDB4 to link the
above together and also how to wire in the power supply which I assume
to be 5v, but cannot see where any of the above is described.

Apologies if I am being thick

I can try to put something together.  I may start by updating this page:

and splitting it into sections for UDB2/3 and UDB4.

Plus a link to this info from the front page...

Hi, am new to this group and UDB. Just got a UDB4 a few days back. I
am currently not able to build MatrixPilot. I am only guessing but it
seems that the project still has references to dsPic30, the error I am
seeing in MPLab is this:

Hi Daniel,

did you select the right device in Configure/Select device menu of MPlab IDE ?

The right device is dsPIC33FJ256GP710A.

Best regards,

Ric

Hi Daniel,

Did you change the board selection in options.h
from
#define BOARD_TYPE           UDB3_BOARD
to
#define BOARD_TYPE           UDB4_BOARD

???

I expect you meant to ask your question in the uavdevboard discussion group ( and not uavdevboard-dev which is primarily about development ) but  I approved your post for uavdevboard-dev on this occasion.

Best wishes, Pete

Great, that was it: BUILD SUCCEEDED

the comment above the setting looks awfully familiar... its probably
in the wiki, shame on me.
