Thank you for the reply.

I tried to update my Firefox which it did on the computer but did not
actually update the U3 drive. After all the updates to the current one but
it did not update the drive version. Sooooooooooo, the next time I logon to
Firefox, I am still at the old version.

That is right. You can not install a conventional program into an U3 Smart
flash drive and run it from there. Any U3 application needs to be previously
formatted to the be U3 platform compliant.

To get version 3.5.3 you must manually check for updates enough times
until you get it.

Need to have someone correct the understanding that I have been working
under regarding U3 programs. From the start, it was my understanding that
programs needed to be converted to U3 to run correctly. If that is true,
then when connected via a U3 drive, one needs to decline any updates that

Koftar, you can use the U3 Smart flash STORE drive in a MacBook Pro or any
non-Windows operating system, but not the U3 Smart Launchpad nor the
programs you have there, just the store drive.

Did you download the v3.5.3 while online at the Firefox site?

My understanding is that the current version for U3 is much
lower...........mine is v2.0.0.4 on my various Sandisk U3 drives.

i have a problem with Firefox for U3 (v3.5.3) since about a hour and a
half. every time i try to run it i see the Mozilla Crash Reporter

Will do. Right now we have a lot of apps and most of Web content in place,
just need to test the U3 apps and choose a CMS for the site.
