Well, i'm a stupid man, that's why i "tried to delete" the post immediately
i posted, when i realized that the site that got owned twice is not
typeracer, but typingzone.com
It's hard to be low brained like me and not make the difference, they both
have "type" in the URL :-"
Here's a link to how the page looked, i saved it.

 Awesome :) I'm 16, I average between 110-120wpm usually. I've raced against
Andy many times, he's young but he's still a bit faster than me :)

I was a Qwerty user and i was averaging the same as u r doing now with the highest score of 164, I switched to Dvorak and after practicing for few months i average in 100s now, the best thing about Dvorak is the accuracy and consistency while typing.
It all depends on your interest if you are really interested in switching to Dvorak just do it now and keep on practicing on a typing tutor ( the best I found was solo typing tutor for Dvorak).

Do you think you can make this a winner-take-all competition? For me, I
would rather have a chance at winning $1,000 than have an almost-guarantee
at winning 25$ and a chance at winning 500$. I'm going to spend a lot of
time on this project, and so I would rather win big or win nothing :)
By the way, $1000 for a typing tutorial page is very generous. Thank you

 Hi All,
Just a quick question! What keyboard layout do you use and what's your avg
WPM?
I type in Qwerty averaging about 110 in races.
Would switching to another keyboard layout help me improve my typing speed?
Would the improvement only be marginal? I have been typing in Qwerty for
about 13 years, so I'm assuming it'll be a challenge to switch to another

Makky, I tried to post this before but it must not have gone through. Is
there any way you could include accuracy in there? I'm not sure what the
best ways to show it are but maybe graph your average accuracy over time to
see if you have improved. or possibly show your average accuracy for your
top 10 or 50 or 100 races to see what your accuracy is like when you are at

I used to average 110+WPM and my highest was 164 on Qwerty but the only thing which made me switch to Dvorak was the accuracy and relaxation.
Now i average 90WPM and can type for hours without without getting tired at all.
I would like to advise you to switch to Dvorak instead of Colemak.

Regards

You don't have to switch to colemak. I do just fine with QWERTY and my last
ten races average is usually 140-150 WPM. If you switch to colemak you
won't be used to typing on an unfamiliar keyboard. I can type and race
anywhere because I am accustomed to the standard keyboard layout, and I
like it that way.

Type Racer is working on having a new page that covers common questions
like yours. But for now, I can tell you a couple things that might help.
You said you have been typing for a few years, so you might not want to do
this. I assure you that if you do decide to take this advice, you will find
typing much easier and overall more fun (your speed should increase too).
