Hey everyone,

One of the video cards in a lab near mine has lost its magic smoke, and ceased to function. While usually the death of a ten year old video card is not much to mourn, it was an integral part of a larger experimental rig, and an upgrade would be quite expensive. It may be a vain hope, but I know that some of you collect/hoard vintage hardware. We're looking for the following video card, or (much more likely) something similar:

3DLabs Wildcat 880VP (Pro)
AGP 8X
256 MB RAM

If you have any other cards from 3DLabs that roughly match these specs, we're also interested. We can probably work out some compensation, too.

Johnathan:

I doubt I have anything that hefty (256M), but I'm pretty sure I have an old ATI video card that might be enough to at lesat
have basic graphics on it. I'll have to check at home in Houston, and I'm out of town until Saturday.

Either post back to this entry or send me email directly and I'll try to find my olde card. If it'll work for you you're welcome to
have it for free.

Charlie

I'll check with the lab to see if the hardware rig will work with ATI stuff. Thanks for the offer, and I'll let you know.

Nevermind. Apparently the lab manager found a proper replacement. Thanks for the offer though.
