This Saturday, Sept 1. 2012.

I am in need of a truck or trailer to haul the cyclekart though.

Last month, Doug Baugher and I took the cyclekart there in his (newer) truck, and it was a pretty good success, even though we were super late to arrive and consequently got a terrible location way out back.   It's one of the biggest publicly held car shows in the nation , and I'd guess there are several thousand people that show up every month early on a Saturday for this thing.   This time around, Doug's out of town, so can't use his truck.

This time, I'd like to do much better than last time.  I'd like to arrive at the location, near SH 249 and Louetta Road
no later than 6:30am.

I'd also like to have a canopy, a small card table, couple of folding chairs, and a big tank of cold lemonade to give away, along with some flyers talking about cyclekarts, tx/rx, the classes, and so on.  If some Art Cars can come along too, that'd be cool.

The cyclekart is about 10 feet long,  from front to rear axle, about 8 feet -- due to the height of Doug's truck and the shortness of the ramps we had, and the shortness of the bed of his crew-cab truck, we had to load it in backwards with the front wheels haning off the back of the tailgate.  I mention this because it means a little toyota tacoma type truck might be too small.

Could potentially use Doug's old white truck, but there are some issues with that which make it undesirable for this particular job that I don't want to elaborate about on a public forum.

Since the event finishes so early (9:00am, typically) it shouldn't interfere too much with any work going on at the new space on Saturday -- you can do both.

So to sum up, I'm looking for:

1) A truck or trailer and vehicle to tow it with to show up at my house about 5:00am Saturday morning to haul the cyclekart to the event (about a 3 mile trip) and back afterwards, about 9:00am.
2) A canopy
3) A card table and a couple of folding chairs
4) tank of cold lemonade and a bunch of small paper cups
5) if any Art Cars want to come along, yes please.
6) If we have posters for the classes, I want some of those.
7) Some type of txrx banner to put up across the top/front of the canopy.
8) In any case, I will make some flyers specifically for the event.

Let me know if you can help.

Forgot to mention the location: Vintage park, near SH 249 and Louetta Road:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=houston+coffee+and+cars&hl=en&sll=31.168934,-100.076842&sspn=8.924052,14.128418&hq=houston+coffee+and+cars&radius=15000&t=m&z=12

Even though it's way out in Spring, people from all over Houston come to this thing.

Use the truck I loaned the lab if it is available. It should be available for the short time that you will need it.

So, ok, I'll spill the beans.   There are a *lot* of cops at the cars and coffee event.  Cops give out tickets for certain things.  Do I want a ticket?   No, I don't.

I think I've got everything on this list covered except a banner, and the class
posters, neither of which is critical.  I found a guy who lives close by with a truck,
so, presuming that doesn't fall through, I shouldn't need to borrow the lab's truck.
