These ravings are all based on an incredibly childish "reasoning"
that is so transparently ridiculous that even *he* was very hestitant

When I first saw Keegan's tentative question, I knew nothing about
which post[s] of Osprey's he was referring to, so I was super-cautious
in my reply, but nevertheless made my ignorance clear, and that's the
main thing to keep in mind:

Believe it or not, that is the entire foundation for Keegan's ranting
and raving that I am a plagiarist. A simple coincidence, that any 10
year old child knowing Humphrey never tires of talking about Texas
could have come up with. The fact that Osprey's own use of "Texas ...
crickets" was a blindingly obvious retort to talk about :"Delaware
crickets," only goes to show what a raving lunatic Keegan has become
where plariarism is the issue.

As the author of over 100 articles in world-class journals and
chapters in books, most of them about my own research, I have had a
few rejections down the line, but I've always found another very good
journal to publish the results in. One of my most cited papers,
"Metrizability and the Frechet-Urysohn property in topological
groups", AMS Proceedings 83 (1982) 793-80, was originally rejected by
the parallel AMS Transactions, back when the Transactions was held in
less high esteem than the Proceedings, simply because the referee
misunderstood what the main proof consisted of.
As I told you on another thread, I haven't submitted any book
manuscripts for publication. I have started writing several and hope
to finish all but one of them. The exception is about the p-adic
topology on abelian groups and their generalizations, and I've decided
just to be content with the two research papers and several invited
lectures that I've done on those.
