Hey Jerry! What's up?

On the other side of this, why do I have to insure my motorcycle with
the same liabilities as a car when the damage in a wreck will be to
the bike or maybe a lawn? On top of all that, why are they towing and
impounding cars for no insurance, but allowing illegal aliens to drive
away free when found? Why not tow and impound their cars?

In every country but ours, if you go there illegally and get found,
all your stuff then belongs to that country. You have no rights in
their country. Why should we be different?

I see this impounding cars for no insurance as nothing more than the
police and towing companies being "bill collectors" for insurance
companies.

That's my take on it.

I agree, and regarding the commensurate liabilities betw-
een cars and motorcycles, you're probably right.

But, done right, a big motorcycle can/will total a car. Of
course that's not going to be a "walk away". Additionally,
there's also pedestrian/vehicle accidents to consider.

There, vehicle size is of little concern.

On the news today was a sportbike/SUV wreck South of Houston where the
rider and two or three of five in the SUV were killed.

I would be all for a law making liability priced by type or weight.

Yeah, anyone that thinks a motorcycle(even a sportbike)
can't do some serious damage to a car(even a SUV) is
just wrong.

I know that I've done plenty of damage to mirrors and car doors while
riding my motorcycle....

Amen. Last November, I was going 60 on LBJ near Miller, and was run
