PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Austin, TX


Texas Iron Motorcyle Magazine is celebrating it's sixth year with a
big birthday bash this upcoming August 17th, in downtown Austin, TX.
Plans include door prizes, sumo wrestlers (fake ones), lots of music,
and the chance to meet the staff. The one-day party will be held in
conjuction with the Voodoo Lounge located at 308 E.3rd street.
Texas Iron was the first family oriented motorcycle magazine in the
country with NO Nudity or NO Profanity incorporating in July of 1990 and
with it's first issue being published in October of 1990.
Among other "Texas Iron's" first's include: The first motorcycle
magazine to have a Catholic Nun on a Harley for a cover (Issue #2); The
first to have their governor to pose on a Harley for a cover (Issue #6);
the first to shoot ZZ Top's motorcycles (Issue #8); The only motorcycle
magazine to shoot Ms. Harley-Davidson for a cover (Issue #4); and the
only motorcycle magazine to have Grammy Award Winner Freddy Fender grace
its cover (Issue #12).
Texas Iron was also the first motorcycle magazine from the United
States to go on the Internet World Wide Web (our address is
http://www.texasiron.com). Check out the web site for some great
material to read like biker's rights, special features, tank art,
upcoming events, a centerfold, and the Texas Iron Catalog.
You can take Texas Iron to work, or show it to your kids, friends,
and neighbors with pride. Based in Texas, coverage includes major
rallies in and around Texas but also major rallies around the country
like the great Sturgis Rally and Daytona.
The goal of Texas Iron is to change the way "bikers" are looked at,
to change all the bad press and publicity that "bikers" get, and to help
preserve the history of motorcycles in America.
Texas Iron is distributed nationally thorough most major bookstores
and heavily in Texas thorough most convenience stores and motorcycle
shops. The last four issues (Issues #15, #16, #17, and #18) have all
sold out with every issue to come also being expected to sell out.
Subscriptions are $15.00 for six issues and $27.00 for 12 issues but you
get a FREE T-shirt with the 12-issue subsciption.
