GSOC Idea: Twitter Without Internet in Mobiles

Hi Twitter,

I don't know why this hasn't been proposed yet.. But here is my idea to use Wi-Fi Direct so that people can access twitter through their friends data/wifi internet connectivity.
Plain and simple, if a node without internet connectivity is following a person and one of his (node) friends nearby has data connectivity, then the person's tweets get relayed through the friend node to him. Same is the case, when node itself  tweets.. It is relayed through his friends' data connectivity. All this happens if both of them agree apriori..

I know that there are difficulties involved in communication protocols.. but basically, this can be implemented.. I am quite interested to work on this and since Wi-Fi direct is now becoming universal, I would give everything to make it successful
