How to list users in a certain <location>

Hi,
I have been trying to get all the users in a certain <location>
listed.
havent been able to figure it out yet.

I am trying to implement something similar in twttierholic where
followers/following count is displayed based on a certain location.

any ideas?

Get the list of people the user is following
(http://twitter.com/statuses/friends.format) and filter it locally
inside the application.

Or, do a location-based search in the Search API:
