TwitterZone: On/Off for SMS messages?

Hello all,

A while ago I tried to build a couple of simple scripts that would
work with your mobile phone and a Mac running HomeZone to turn off SMS
notifications when you were at your computer, and turn them on again
automatically when you were away:

This didn't work because Twitter doesn't accept on/off messages via
the web, only via SMS - I think.

Am I right about this, or is there a way to do this? And if not, is it
something that might hit the Twitter API at some point in the future?

We currently allow you to enable and disable notifications for a given
user that you're following. In the near future, we'll be providing
methods to enable and disable all notifications, and to switch the
device to which to notifications are delivered.
