Unescaped entities in XMPP messages?

Hi,

I am wondering if this is a problem on the sender or on my receiver,
but I have just seen a message containing an unescaped '&':

I have removed any sensible information from the message, but please
check the content of the description element.

I've run a couple of more tests and I think the problem is on the
source end (in the messages I'm receiving) and not on my side.
