3-4 May.  It would be great to ride with you again!  I thought you hung up your bicycle?  I keep getting older, fatter, and slower!

Hi Steve,  My bicycles have been hung up, for along time!   And my bike clothes have shrunk while in the drawer!    I'm probably be farming during the Weiser ride.  Why is it so early?

June is packed full of rides (Winchester- in a new form, White Bird,
Lewiston), so in prior years when we've tentatively planned the Weiser
River Ride for June it never happen. Until Doug showed an interest, I
wondered if I'd ever find a companion for actually riding it. For
several years we "moved" it from the spring to the fall, and then the
fall to the spring! It's out of the way; we weren't expecting too big a
crowd; and we tried to schedule it away from other planned rides as well
as away from Memorial Day Weekend and Mother's Day. My National Guard
weekend which should be 3-4 May was moved to 17-18 May when the range
would be available for our qualifying with M-16's. (That qualification
& passing PT tests is vital to my new career!). So, that's how we
arrived at the date. Weather always makes spring rides in the mountains
iffy, but they're beautiful when weather cooperates. 2/3's of this ride
is in the desert though which is much better with a green tinge. Any
suggestions the group could bounce around as an alternative? I'd really
enjoy riding with you again!

Don't worry about the clothes shrinking. Mine shrunk about an inch this
winter when I had that broken back, and so far I haven't stretched them
out to fit well! I'm wondering if I'll ever get back to my old speed-
which was always a bit slow. Corrie's probably keeping clothes his
aired out better, to avoid that shrinkage while his foot recuperates,
but it's possible he won't be in his best form for this ride either.
