I'm not familiar with the ride. I have ridden over part of the course-
I believe Cycle Oregon '06 covered part of this- going the other
direction! Going down old Cabbage Patch was a great ride- we'd been in
the drizzle and light fog all morning. All of a sudden, just as we
reached the top of Cabbage Patch (from the mountainous side), the sun
partly came out, the grade's pavement was the first dry pavement we'd
seen all day, and despite the big downhill we warmed up and dried out
by the time we were half way down it. It has some great vistas (unlike
the new grade).
As I look at the map again, CO went further south thru Athena (with
some very steep uphill), but no sense reviewing that different
terrain. There is some nice wheat country here though. That's all I
can add! If the food is good and adequate, this looks like a good
value.
