First, I'm sorry.

Second, I think he managed to call his band "The Tonight Show Band" at the end of the first segment.  I'll check this online tomorrow.

We call that a "parapraxis" in my business.

I saw a commercial during football last night that listed Leno's
guests this week - I can't recall them now, but it sounded like they
were turning up the star power a notch or two for this Thanksgiving
Week, including some kind of Military themed show for Thursday night.
I think this is a good idea - if Sweeps go through this Wednesday, but
total viewership will tend to be lower than a usual sweeps week with
people traveling and visiting with family, he has a chance to make a
little hay and a little more reassurance to the affiliates.

In Thanksgivings past, Leno and the Tonight Show crew filled the
audience with active military and their families. I'm assuming he'll
continue that tradition. Curious to see of Conan will.

The year I was an NBC Page, Leno provided a full Thanksgiving feast
for the entire crew, prepared by some famous chef (I don't recall
who).

Courtesy of Sue, Leno's guests this week:

Mo 11/23: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lady Gaga
Tu 11/24: Charles Barkley, the latest castoff from "The Biggest Loser"
We 11/25: Paula Patton
Th 11/26: Megan Fox
Fr 11/27: Jenna Bush Hager, Laura Bush, Sebastian Maniscalco (R 11/4/09)

Conan will also have a new show on Thursday - Pee Wee Herman, Donald Faison ([scrubs] is back next week), and Bon Jovi (the second appearance in two weeks, must be that Zucker indentured servitude called NBC Artists in Residence).  Pre-taped, perhaps?

And, Arnold is supposed to have some big announcement tonight that
really only pertains to California and most Californians don't really
care what he is announcing!

He is announcing his pick for the vacant lieutenant governor
position. The new guy will replace the old guy who was elected to
another position.

Maybe...like that is a hot announcement.

Things like that can make a big difference. Far more than the amount
spent.

In my town, a bar owner used to open up his place every Thanksgiving
and serve a turkey dinner instead of staying home with his own
family. Over the years, it became a huge pot-luck affair for gay and
lesbian people who were not welcome by the families they were born
into.
