Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel to perform in superstorm Sandy concert to air on NBC

The telecast will benefit the American Red Cross and will be shown on NBC and its cable stations including Bravo, CNBC, USA, MSNBC and E! Other networks are invited to join in.

“Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” will air at 8 p.m. EDT and will be taped-delayed in the West.

The Wrap reports that the telethon won't be on the other OTA networks basically because CBS and ABC didn't want to disrupt their season premieres tonight (NBC is pre-empting a "Revolution" rerun) and Fox wanted to run Chef Ramsay screaming instead:

And speaking of Fox, this morning on "Fox and Friends," as part of Roger AIles' continuing revenge on NBC for killing America's Talking for MSNBC, Eric "Baby Glenn Beck" Bolling joined the morons to claim that the telethon is just a disguised rally for President Obama--"Where are the conservative celebrities?"  Oh, screw me.

I'm sure that having Matt Lauer host the broadcast (and Brian Williams
and Jimmy Fallon aboard) had absolutely nothing to do with the other
OTAs' decision.

NBC moved the "Revolution" rerun to 10:00, where it's preempting "Dateline."
