I don't have as much of a problem with this as most people, I think.  Part
of it may be that I don't think Disney can do anything to devalue the
franchise that Lucas himself hasn't already done in the name of "family
entertainment" (hello, JarJar!)  But mostly because Disney's recent
acquisition of Marvel, plus their long-term treatment of Pixar ("Cars 2"
not withstanding) shows that the current management understands when to let
subsidiaries run semi-autonomously.  

Plus, what's the real danger here?  Theme park rides? We already have
those. Stormtroopers with Mickey ears? They already exist too.
