I think the author is mildly off on the key point: The people who
remember who these actors are are increasingly out of the target age
range.

That being said, there was an H&R Block ad that featured Kate Micucci,
whom I know of from the comedy music duo Garfunkel & Oates. I shouted
out, "It's Oates!" when I saw this.

And I wonder how many people see "Flo" from the Progressive ads and
think of the switchboard at Sterling Cooper?

I saw her signing at Comic-Con in San Diego a couple years ago; didn't
realize she was responsible for some of the other celebrities who were
there as well.

I didn't talk to her because I don't particularly care about autographs,
and I couldn't think of anything to say beyond "even at the age of 5, I
thought you were hot on 'Buck Rogers,'" which I figured would sound too
creepy.

If you grew up in the New York area, you could have added "I thought
you were hot in the Bloomingdales commercials".

The other woman in the ad was on SeaQuest, DSV for most, if not all of the run.
