'Boy Meets World' Spinoff On at DIS

"Girl Meets World," in which Fred Savage and Danielle Fishel return as Cory and Topanga as parents of their own teenaged girl growing up (played by Rowan Blanchard of "Spy Kids 4"), had already gotten a lot of hype as a pilot, but Disney Channel is going through with the series joining its long line of multicam sitcoms, with production starting this summer for airing next year:

Michael Jacobs, the show's original creator, will have a showrunner position with the series, which is a little bit of a surprise and a pleasant one.
