Of course: explaining their pointless decision to rebrand two years ago!

Subject: RE: [TV orNotTV] What would Comcast spend $180 million on?
The service technician who (somewhat) fixed a problem recently told me that
Comcast is concentrating on its new security business and that my request --
a DVR that records several shows at the same time -- was on the back burner.
Also receiving lower priority than its security business, he told me:
beefed-up On Demand offerings.

I also had a really bad experience with Comcast's phone service.  It's a
long story, but my phone and internet service were cut off until I installed
the phone software, which I wasn't interested in doing.  Terrible system.
If I didn't have a cell phone, I wouldn't have been able to contact anyone
to fix the problem.  Needless to say, I don't have Comcast phone service.
I'm quite satisfied with Vonage.

Our Comcast DVR will record two shows at the same time. One of my
disappointments after switching from DirecTV was that the On Demand takes
up one of the two available tuners, so we can not watch On Demand while
recording two programs at the same time.

I do get about 1 email a week from Comast asking me if I want their
security system (in case you are reading this Comcast, I still am not
interested).
