It has never been clear to me just who CNN wanted us to think Larry King was - the serious news and political analyst they seemed to present him as during elections and times of national crisis, or the celebrity ass-kisser and paranormal fetishist he seems to be most often on his show. I assumed we would get an idea of who CNN really thought King was when they name his replacement, which for many years I thought would be someone like Bob Costas, who is a skilled interviewer, excellent broadcaster and splits the difference pretty well between serious and pop culture. With this announcement CNN apparently is telling us that they also thought of Larry King as a star fuc*er. After twenty five years, its..nice...to..know.

I was wondering about that, as the only Brit who seemed to claim Morgan had interviewing talent was Mr. Trump in a tight-T Simon Cowell.

Remember, CNN was considering Ryan Seacrest as replacement... so I guess Morgan is a step up from that, but that had pretty much confirmed that CNN saw king as the star-effer.
