If there is enough interest and people to sprint I may end up
organizing one after Pycon. If anyone is going to Pycon and would like
to be involved let me know. I'll post *most* announcements on the
turbogears-sprint Google Group.

Thanks for listening :-)

I always figured it was a sure thing. Any reason we wouldn't have
enough people to sprint?

Not sure. I emailed Kevin, Mark and Alberto earlier today to see if
there was a sprint planned because it was not listed on the Pycon
page. Since nothing was planned I figured that I would go ahead and
coordinate it.

I'll be attending the PyCon Sprints and will likely work on TurboGears.
Chris (percious), a coworker of mine, will also be attending the first
2 days of the sprint and would likely work on TurboGears.

I know of 2 others who may also participate but they have not finalized
there plans.

Given that TurboGears is much bigger than it was a year ago, I'd
imagine there won't be trouble finding people to join in a sprint. I
won't be able to attend the sprint this year. It's also a rather long
drive for Alberto to come all the way from Madrid :)

There's a good chance I'll be available via IRC for much of the time,
though.

If Alberto would need some funds to attend PyCon he could make a
request to the PSF. Given the fact that he is now leading TG I would
assume that his chances of receiving some funds would improve.

Alberto - see http://pyfound.blogspot.com/ for the funding announcement
if your interested in it

I have added a wiki page for the sprint.

Indeed ;)

Wow! That would be nice... :) I'm afraid however that lack funding
will not be the only reason to keep me from going. February is a very
busy month for me as I've got to prepare some exams for college. I
hope to make it to Euro Python though.

I hope something settles in the trunk ML soon regarding TG's core
architecture so sprinters have something to work on in PyCon... More
on this in the turbogears-{trunk,sprint} ML.
