Redirect Pages saving as Standard Layout pages?

Hi tumblrs,

I've searched for the resolution to this problem, to no avail. Any help is appreciated! I'm not positive this is the correct place to post, but it's theme related, and I'm not even sure where else it would go. If this is an inappropriate location, please point me in the right direction.

I am trying to create a Redirect Page from within my theme customization area. The Redirect page is saved as a Standard Layout page, and when I navigate to the new page it simply shows a blank text layout.

Here are the steps I take, along with screenshots:

First, I set up a new Redirect page: http://screencast.com/t/D2tLAvdn

I save the settings, and page shows as normal in my pages list: http://go.swingbyswing.com/post/48811928917/pebble

When I navigate to the redirect url, the new page displays as a Standard Layout page: http://screencast.com/t/1797mw0CQpd

When I click Edit button for the new page, it shows it as a Standard Layout page: http://screencast.com/t/Hab5nm6v2HO

(A) What am I doing wrong? Or,

(B) What is wrong with Tumblr?

I followed your instructions and was able to make a redirect page that did not revert to a standard page. Are you sure you clicked Save after making the redirect?

Thanks for trying Sean. Yes, I'm sure I'm clicking save, lol.

In fact, I've tried clicking save from different browsers, from different accounts, with different types of url's, all to no avail.

Thanks again for the help. I'm also communicating with Tumblr support staff to see if they have any ideas what is going on.

Aha! Heard back from tumblr support. Looks like my account is just too new:

In order to prevent spam and other types of abuse on Tumblr, some features are locked on new accounts. After you've used the account for awhile to do things like following other blogs and customizing your blog's appearance, these features will be unlocked so you can use them.
