Whenever I use {SourceTitle} in themes it always returns the base URL instead of an actually title.

For example a content source of "http://example.com/stuff.swf" would return "example.com" as the title.

I assume this is because Tumblr doesn't actually check the website for its title tags

Is there any way to enter information into the content source field so that {SourceTitle} returns an actual title?

Since the post only stores source URLs (and not titles), that's the only information that can be retrieved. Tumblr associates icons with some popular websites. Read the docs to take advantage of that.

This is consistent with how sources appear on the Dashboard — icons for some popular websites, and domain names for the rest.

If you still want to use a custom title for the source, it might help to give an example.
