I'm fairly sure it's not currently possible to set the "content source URL" when creating posts with the API.
(Unless there is some POST variable I am unaware of, that is not documented ? )
Any chance that this will be added to the API? It's really a pain that you have to go to the post on Tumblr.com to edit it, and add the Source URL for any posts you make with the API.
Even on Photo posts, when specifying the "source" for the Photo as a URL, the post created with the API does not set the "content source url" to the URL you used for the photo.

Which is the bug -- just the stuff with the Photo source URL, or the fact
we can't set the Content Source URL on *other* posts types? (eg, a Text
post)
Even on a photo post, the Content Source URL may need to be different than
the photo source URL: for example, the image may come from Flickr, but you
want to link the Content Source to the Flickr User's page.

Can't seem to get it working this side, anybody else have luck? Trying to
create photo posts, click through link doesn't seem to work, nor does
source_url.

The url that I'm posting to is: /v2/blog/<blog>/post, with parameters of type = photo, data = the url encoded data, and source_url = http://www.google.com.
Could you provide me back a same of what you are sending over and I'll take a look?
