Oklahoma's own James Edward Grey will be hosting a 3 day
Introduction To Ruby course at Tulsa Community College's Northeast
Campus. This is a great opportunity to brush up your Ruby skills or
introduce a friend or co-worker to Ruby. The target audience are TCC's
industry partners, so you do not need to be a student. The training is
paid for by TCC's Wavebreak.org Department of Labor grant and is free
as in speech and beer. For more information or to sign-up, visit
http://www.wavebreak.org/.

Tommy

P.S. We will be offering similar courses in Rails, and Iphone
development later this year/early next.

Yeah I'd be up for that too. We should just do a Ruby User Group meetup at McNeille's or something. I'm not sure that I'll be able to attend the training either.

We have one scheduled for the 21st... is that a good date for everyone?

I'm looking for a location still.

Tim - Did you mean the Friday the 20th?

Anywhere is good, but let it have sweet cold beer :)

No, Monday September 21st. McNellies is good with me if we just want to chat. I don't have much to show that couldn't be seen on a laptop screen.

Thoughts?

Ah ok we are talking about two different days/events.

I'm down for Sept. 21st. and in November if James is available.

How about Joe Mama's as a location? Pint night is Monday's and
McNellie's and I'm not sure how crowded it will be.

Isn't TCC begging people to host their meetings there? Anyone remember
that guy? Or which campus?

That would be me. We can always host our meetings at the North East
Campus, and this is where the Ruby training will be held. However, we
will not have the ability to have beer.....

We can have the meeting at the Tulsa Collaboratorium in DT Tulsa as
well (5th and Boulder).

Being a board member has it's perks :)
