My name is Matthew B. Ferguson I live in North Carolina and want to
work on tugboats and I need some help. I sent this message  to the
website owner of tugboatsonline. They said I should go to a form. Here
was the message If you could give me any advice it would be great.
. I think I want to go to CMTI and do the one week deckhand program
then go ether to  Paul Hall to get more training later or back to
CMTI. They said that I could try to get on a tugboat around Virgina
work in the harbor. I guess on what you would call a married unit. I
know if I want to work on off shore Tugs I will have to get STCW. I
can get in CMTI Faster and get out to sea faster then having to save
up more money and take a whole lot longer to go back to the UA Program
at Paul Hall.  Because I have so much F Bills Which would you do? I
have know problem working on with married units faster. Because that
program trains you to work on tow boats. Is it hard to move up in the
SIU and get senroity  if you do not go throw the UA program. I know
alot of compaines. I just want to get out to sea and stop working at a
F Hosptial because beleave it our not doctors do not know sh!t. Is it
easyer to get a job in the merchant marine in being apart of a union.
I just want to be a sailor, and work for a good company.  Being a
sailor is all I ever wanted.  I do not care if I cleaning the head for
30 years I'm going to be a sailor. Not doing security at Hosptial. But
hey the nurses and female medics and lady doctors do make the day fly
bye.
