I am using the Tufte book template and using \part to separate out different parts of the book. This generates a page with only the part number and title. However, I'd like to include a paragraph of text on the same page (summarizing what the book part is about).

I found only this solution for doing this in plain Latex, but when I tried it using the tufte-latex template it ignores the "fix"... Anyone have an idea how to get around this?

Thanks,
Galit

tufte-latex uses titlesec and titletoc packages,
so I would look first at the documentation for
those packages. Am pretty sure you just need to
use \titleformat with the correct set of arguments.
