Open-Source BI: State of the Market

预测:2010年前新安装对于主流市场渗透不会超过5%，大厂家如HP可能采用并产品化，Linux将成为包括MS?在内的BI厂家的支持平
台,MySQL在数据仓库应用里< 5%

主要增长可能在中型企业，但难以逾越强劲的MS(开发平台，支持，兼容，Excel等优势)

enterprises (conservative adopters of innovative technology) for new
BI applications
through 2010.
* expects that a large vendor (such as H-P) will adopt some open-
source
technology and productize, sell or support an open-source BI tool or

year-end 2009.
* Linux will be a supported or first-tier open-source platform for
most, if not all, the BI
vendors, including Microsoft.
* Through 2010, MySQL will host fewer than 5% of data warehouse
applications.

尚不能作为企业级平台与商业软件抗衡，主要功能限于报告
集成商不待见
考虑整体费用（support费用为主），MYSQL比Oracle Standard Edition/MSSQL workgroup
