Folks,
Wow – twice in a year. Hot on the heels of Michael Holt and his Transition Culture Tour comes another such opportunity. This time it is an entire band! We have been contacted by Jess Gold of Friends of the Earth who wonders if we would wish to host a concert with her band. She sent some PDFs out but they are too big to send via the Google Group. If you wish to read the notes about the tour I will send these notes to you directly. I must warn you that it costs in the region of £600 to book a concert. You can learn more online at http://www.myspace.com/projectearthrock1, http://www.animatedearth.co.uk/ and http://www.projectearthrock.com/ . Tours dates are in September.
Jess Gold is an educator and a singer/song-writer. She is also a trained song-leader, so is rather expert at getting crowds singing together. Although a multi-instrumentalist you are most likely to see her with her guitar, although if you are lucky she might crack open the banjo. Following an extended career promoting school councils and pupil voice, her concern about climate change has led her to establishing Project Earth Rock. Teaching about sustainability through song makes her happy. She has also developed a specialism around helping children and young people write their own songs about sustainability. Jess is a member of the Friends of the Earth board.

Subject: Jess Gold's Animated Earth Concert Tour
Dear Mark,
Good to speak with you earlier.
I am delighted to be sending our tour brochure and planning document.
The aim of the tour is to enable eco active people to create an engaging outreach concert to help profile their important eco work locally and nationally.
If you think that you might be interested, it is worth getting back to me sooner rather than later as dates are starting to get booked up.
kind regards
Jess
