Plan on attending a concert on the Guthrie Green this coming Saturday night! Horton Records has designated TSAS as their local partner on October 6th as part of their Guthrie Green concert series. Along with local musicians, Jesse Aycock, Desi & Cody and Vandevander, the TSAS jazz combo will be entertaining the audience throughout the evening. Music is scheduled to begin in the early evening around 6pm. The concert is free and open to all ages. Information about our school and how to assist our Phoenix Fund will be available as well as some special bamboo necklaces with the TSAS logo. Guthrie Green, located in the Brady District, is the newest public space downtown where visitors can hear music, grab a quick bite to eat or just enjoy the outdoors in an urban setting. The Guthrie Green is within the square block between Brady and Cameron streets and Boston and Cincinnati avenues. It features a pavilion, stage, fountains and water features, brick and concrete paths, and a new cafe. Hope to see you there this coming Saturday!
Gardner's Books is offering the 25% educators discount to anyone purchasing books for TSAS.
The 2012 Serenade Night Silent Auction preparations are moving forward quickly. The Silent Auction is a major part of Serenade Night. We have written a letter to give local businesses that provides an overview of the purpose and benefit of any donation they make towards this Silent Auction. We also have a Thank-You letter to give to the business that serves as a receipt for their contribution. These letters are available at the TSAS office and can be picked up as needed. We appreciate your assistant and support and are looking forward to our best Serenade Night ever!! We Rise! Note: Serenade Night is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 and will be held on the TU campus.
Attention Parents! Some teachers are still needing to be adopted!
WE NEED YOU: attention all TSAS parents and families! There’s an exciting new opportunity just for you: Adopt a Classroom! As we all know, there isn’t going to be any painting, major decorating or construction in our Sequoyah location for the time being. We are all searching for ways to make this building a little more warm and homey. The teachers have been through so much, and yet remained completely awesome during this transition. We would like to help them personalize their rooms in any way we can. We can decorate with posters, pictures, personal items, etc. Below is a list of our 23 fantastic teachers. Please contact Kelley Bryan at
kelle...@yahoo.com or
918-261-2381 to find out which teachers are still available to be adopted. Then just choose one to adopt, contact them to see what they want or need, and then help them make it happen! Let’s help our terrific TSAS teachers! We rise!
