1. We are looking for someone to help stock vending machines (preferably Tuesdays). If you would like to help contact traci...@cox.net.
2. Students, starting today you can pick up your user names and passwords for the online grade book in the fishbowl.
3. ACT takers signed up for this Saturday's test need to be here by 7:55 so that we can start on time. Report to the South Commons/Sandoval's room. Please remember your own calculator if you have one - otherwise you can borrow one but we do not have enough graphing calculators for everyone to borrow. There will be granola bars and bottled water provided. Remember, don't hit the snooze and decide not to show up. You will NOT get your money back!
4. Today is the last day to pre-order a planner from the History Club. See Dr. Lee in Room 204 if you want to order one. Cost is $5 and you can pay when the order arrives.
5. The photography class desperately needs cameras. Students are currently having to share. If you have an old camera that you never use because you have gone digital, please consider donating your camera to the school.
6. Rock climbing begins next Wednesday! If you have never climbed before and want to learn, here is your chance. We will climb at New Heights Rock Climbing Gym every Wednesday after school. Each session lasts six weeks and costs $60. This price includes a class where you will learn everything you need to know to climb safely, climbing equipment, and two hours of climbing time. Please see Ellen Stackable this week for more information and to sign up.
7. A Senior parent meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 16th at 7:00pm at TSAS.
8. Seniors, see the calendar in the counselor's office that lists upcoming college visits. Upcoming visits include:
- OSU at Broken Arrow next Thursday, 6 p.m. Look for the flyer here at school for how to register.
- Annual College Connection at Expo Square on Sunday, September 12, 1-4 p.m. Great place to visit with a large group of colleges in one place.
- University of Tulsa visit on Tuesday October 7 here at TSAS, 1 p.m.
9. Seniors who would like a personal interview with SMU's admissions officer, Sept 9 - 12, please email: trev...@smu.edu. SMU will be at the College Connection on September 12.
10. Those seniors who just so happen to be the king/queen of exhibiting integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity need to check out the scholarship opportunity. See Ms. Waller for details! Earn money while you persevere!
11. Pittsburg State (in Kansas) has a highly ranked engineering technology program. Sophomores, juniors, and even seniors who are interested in learning more must sign up with Waller by this Tuesday, September 7.
