Therapy Dog will visit TSAS today at lunch.  H.A.L.O. (Human Animal Link of
Oklahoma) will have a furry friend visit us today at lunch.  All the way
from Oklahoma City, Sally and her dog, Bosco, will be outside in the
backyard to hang out with any students who are interested.

First Presbyterian Church has donated 50 or so beautiful bedding plants
from their facility dedication service held yesterday. Students interested
in gardening are asked to help unload the plants at 12 noon today and
discuss plans for planting and beautifying our new school.

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) will have a representative
visiting us today at lunch.  Interested students may bring their lunch and
listen to the presentation during lunch today in Room 5.

Students, please re-submit your artwork to Mrs. Hughes's (Fields) room for
the hoodie competition as soon as possible.  Voting will be held later this
week.

TSAS Community Meeting:  The University of Tulsa has graciously allowed us
the use of the Allen Chapman Activity Center next Wednesday night for a
community wide meeting.  You are invited to an informational meeting at
6:00pm on Wednesday, September 12th.  We will be discussing the journey
ahead and sharing useful information that will allow us to coordinate our
recovery efforts.  Details will be available soon about parking on campus
for this event.

Transportation:  Our change of location does create some transportation
concerns for some students. Families that would like to carpool can contact
Dana Vogel at (918)855-0033 or feistymom...@yahoo.com. Send her your
nearest street intersections (such as 61st and Memorial) and if you need a
ride, can offer a ride, what days, and if the rides are before or after
school.  She will be working to connect students with transportation.

Parking: The Sequoyah building has limited parking spaces.  We are working
quickly to install a gravel parking lot to increase the parking capacity to
meet our needs.  Until then, students are encouraged to carpool to reduce
the numbers of cars in need of parking spots.  Those students and teachers
who are parking on the streets should be mindful of all street signs that
prohibit parking.  We want to be good neighbors.

Rebuilding Special Ed Files:  Parents of students with an IEP are asked to
send an email to our Counselor, Mary Hawkins at mhawk...@tsas.org.  Please
email us your student's name and indicate they have an existing IEP and we
will begin this rebuilding process.
TSAS Meals: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided this week.  Our
computerized student meal accounts still exist because it is tied to our
student information system, so money in student accounts can still be
accessed.  The menu, once it becomes available, will be posted in TSAS
Notes.

With all the schedue changes earlier this year, some students may have
books/textbooks from classes that they are no longer in.  Please bring any
unused textbooks, even those you may have at home from last year, back to
school and give them to your teachers. The teachers need all extra
textbooks for in class use!

Lockers:  The locker rental list will allow us to reassign lockers in our
new Sequoyah home. Students can visit with the Fishbowl to make
reservations.  New locks will be required.

Board of Trustees Meeting tomorrow, September 11, 2012: 5:30 pm-7:00 pm at
our new location.

PTSA Meeting, originally scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed.  Please
stay tuned for details regarding when we will meet.
