State Police, Boston Police, and MBTA Police exam - Pass it on

Hello Everyone,

There will be an entry level Police exam for the State Police, Boston Police, and MBTA Police. The written exam will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The application deadline is March 18, 2009. Application fee $100.

Note: There will be an additional $50 processing fee for applications submitted after the deadline date.

For more imformation you can call 617-878-9895, 1-800-392-6178 (outside of Boston), or apply online at www.mass.gov/civilservice.

For those of you who are not aware this is the first time that the State Police has participated in a civil service entry level exam given by HRD. In the past they were allowed to administer there own entry level exam. But according to the Minority State Police Association state Police entry level exam will be a civil service exam handled by HRD.

Please pass the word along to those individuals that you know who are interested in taking the enrty level police exam for either of those agencies.

Pamphlets are available at the Boston Police's Human Resources unit and Phamphlets will also be available at MAMLEO starting Monday, December 8, 2008.
