Automating clearing of "All Caches (Global)" and "Force Garbage Collection"

Hi,

Has anyone found a way to automate clearing the server Global Cache and maybe forcing a garbage collection?

A few shots in the dark:

• using the Custom Class Loader / Custom Task in a workflow to import the java classes (i.e. com.tririga.util.CacheClearUtil)
• using Twiddle to run the Garbage Collection (http://www.mastertheboss.com/jboss-howto/42-jboss-config/72-jboss-garbage-collector.html)
  
• an ASP page to mimic passing user credentials to be able to log in to the Admin Console and send requests on a scheduled basis

Hi ,

One of the way I can think of is to build a standalone java application which will trigger system.gc(). The application can be scheduled / assigned to cron job to kick of in certain duration of time.

It might have some performance impact.
