Weird Happenings in Production

Hi all,

We've been clicking along in our production environment for 2 years
now. Everything has been running swimmingly until the last 3 weeks or
so. We are suddenly finding new issues with things working just fine
in development and not working at all in production--even though no
major changes have occurred in production. FYI--our development and
production environments are exact duplicates of each other except that
Production has more servers. Same database (Oracle), same java
versions, same OS, same JBoss versions, same application and platform
versions (9.5.1/2.7.2.5). And, of course, Production is in production
mode.

Suddenly, job plan records that end users could previously access in
Prod (and can still access in Dev) are throwing security error
messages. Queries in portal sections that were working, now no longer
display. A copy action on a Work Task GUI works in Development on
'Copy' but fires on 'Save' in Production.

If anyone has any ideas, I am ALL ears!

Kim,
Can you validate that there are no other web servers that are pointing to
the same database from another environment or that some settings on the Prod
environment weren't accidentally updated to point to another DB server from
another environment?

Any security patching done in production box recently?

Hi Scott,
There are no other servers pointing to the production database. We don't administer the OS or the box itself, but no JBoss settings have been changed and no Tririga installation settings have changed.

Development and production are both patched at the same time with the same patches. So development works fine, but prod not so much.

Kim, Did you get this resolved?

If not...

Try logging on to each server in your production environment (App
server and Process server). Is the behavior the different? Clear the
cache on all servers.

When you 'patched' production, did this involve an object migration
package. If so, did you migrate the package twice into Production? If
not, do so. Some packages need to be imported twice.
