Subject: Kondh (Jatapu) tribe

Kondh is a tribe which is mostly seen in central and southern Orissa and Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh. They are also called as Jatapu. That tribe is also having own language which looks close to oriya and telugu. In that tribe gender discrimination is less. They dont accept dowry. They do remarriage to widows. They also have tradition of doing marriages to women with men younger than them in age.
