Well after a great ski week out west - the last run I managed to tear my
ACL.

Got home and visited Dr Brown at BOSS (Brown Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports
Medicine).

Later I spoke w/ a few of my friends and a few said they have not heard good
things about him from friends of a friend. Of course no specifics.

Has anyone out there had any dealings w/ him? My impression of him and his
staff were good - but I want to make sure before anyone starts cutting me
open.

Thanks
-Rob

I cannot speak anything about this doctor, but I too, blew out my ACL
10 years ago out west. THE ONLY doctor for this type of surgery in my
opinion is Dr. Michael Fagjenbaum with Raleigh Bone and Joint Surgery
Clinic. He is on the staff with NCSU sports medicine. Our family has
used him numerous times. He is a great surgeon and a GREAT individual!

Another great option (in my opinion) are the Dr's at Cary Orthopedic.
I have had numerous surgeries on an ankle and I saw Raleigh Ortho
about 10 years ago. The Dr there (dont remember his name but he was a
Harvard grad) wanted to fuse my ankle. Went to see Dr Gollehan (sic)
at Cary and he just went in and shaved some calcium off my
bones....has been perfect (as much as possible) since then. I was
stupid and it got infected aftre the surgery, he met me on a Sunday
and cleaned it out over the weekend. I would not see anyone other than
him now. Good luck.
