Rob,
Azad Atashi (of Atashi Associates) in Cary, does commercial and
residential landscape design/installation. He is a landscape architect
but also has a small crew of installers that he has been working with
for years. These folks do awesome work.
Azad recently modified/enhanced an existing plan for our front yard
that we were working from, and completed installation this past Spring.
You can tell that he really loves his work. His plant selections,
groupings, and placement in our yard reveal his knowledge and artistry
as a landscape architect. Azad spent the better part of the day working
with his crew... placing trees just so, making adjustments to the plan
on the fly as needed, and constantly viewing the yard from different
angles.
I was there when the work was done and was highly impressed with the
care and attention that went into the planting of each and every plant.
With 80+ shrubs/trees/plants thriving, and not a single casualty from
Summer's heat, I'd say they know what they are doing. Not to mention
that the yard looks incredible.
Needless to say we were thrilled with the results, and would highly
recommend him for any level of involvement in your landscape project.

Based on their work with us, I would recommend:
Landscape design: Amy Fahmy, 782-3347
Landscape implementation: Ditty Goodson, 362-1953
We have used them multiple times and will continue to in the future.
