Description: Welcome to the Triad Ride list. We're less than a club but more than a random gathering of cyclists. The list focuses on recreational road and mountain bike rides in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point/Burlington, NC area. Take advantage of scheduled rides or lead your own.

Stoneville Bike will be leading an early Monday AM  ride. We'll head out and do our scenic Blue Ridge Airport  loop which is a lttle over 50 miles.  Ride pace is expected to be 15-17. This is a no drop ride as long as you can maintain the minimum on the flats.   Leaving from the bank parking lot (corner of Main and Henry St) in Stoneville at 8AM Monday.... more »

Lenny's Dam Ride Alternative
Hi All, My damn ride will offer a shorter alternative to Carl's dam ride and we won't be going to the dam. For those not quite ready for the dam ride of around 50 miles (like me), this will be 40 miles. This is a C+ to B- ride. Average pace at 14.5 to 15.5 mph. No drop ride. Re-group at stop... more »

Sundays C-A ride
Hi Everyone, We will continue as usual this week, meet at the gravel parking lot ready to ride the 31 mile route at 1:30. I may lead a 26 mile version if I have any takers. The faster group will average close to 20-21 mph. And I will sweep at 14.5-15.5 mph. The route is fairly flat for this area. I may lead a Monday ride as well this week if no other ride is posted... more »

This Saturdays Dam Ride
Hi Everyone, This Saturdays ride will leave from the Oak Ridge Park on Lisa Drive in Oak Ridge. We will have several groups leaving from the parking lot at 8:15. I will provide cue sheets the morning of the ride. Look to go about 48 miles and the average speed will vary based on the group that you ride with. I will be sweeping the coarse at an average speed of about 15mph. Let me know when you get to the parking lot if you cannot keep that pace and I will adjust the sweep speed. Afterwards, you can join me at J. Butlers in Oak Ridge.... more »

In light of some recent emails, I read this article for the 2nd time today and found it quite fitting to share with the Triad Group. Many of you have probably read this article before, it's certainly worth a second read. [link] -- *Jonathan M. Neely - Cycles de Oro Staffer... more »

Thursday Night Tater Ride - May 23rd 6 pm
Weather and road conditions permitting, we will ride from the parking lot across from McAlister's on New Garden Road. I don't know the forecast because I'm just not that trusting of a profession that can be so wrong so often and still get paid for it. So we may have to cancel at the last minute depending on how the sky (or weather radar for the rest of... more »
