Subject: Hostile driver update
First let me thank those of you who responded to my initial email with advice, suggestions and support.  It is nice to feel supported by kindred spirits.  Thanks to this Google group I learned that a vehicle matching the description of the one we encountered was involved in another incident this past Tuesday (in the same area).  Based on my talk with Woody I am confident this is the same vehicle.  During Tuesdays road rage episode Woody was able to get the guys tag number.

I called the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office to report the incident.  They transferred my call to the NC Hiway Patrol.  An officer called me back and took the information regarding the attempt to hit us head on this morning and the incident Woody encountered on Tuesday.  I gave the officer the tag number and he ran the tag.  The truck is registered to someone with an address that is not local.  The officer said he was issuing an alert for officers who patrol that area to be on the look out for the vehicle. He also emphasized to me the importance of calling the Hiway Patrol immediately, when there is a road rage incident, so they can send someone to the area to look for the vehicle.  I felt the officer treated my call seriously.

The vehicle to be on the lookout for is:

1999  faded red Tocoma Toyota pick up truck with a light colored tool box behind the cab.  The North Carolina license plate number is NWL - 3169.

We are pretty shook up by this incident.  Having a speeding truck swerve across the center line and come inches from hitting you will do that to a person.  If you are riding in Rockingham County  be on the lookout for this vehicle.  This guy has serious problems.

I suggest taking the GoPro, Contour, or whatever you (anyone) might have
along for the ride. Then we're not depending on our memory of a quick and
harrowing event. If nothing of interest happens, just delete the video and
capture another. Maybe it would be useful for evidence or maybe not, but it
could likely be useful in tracking down the "unsub."
