here: http://treesheets.com/treesheets_linux.tar.gz

This is the first linux release, so give it a go, and report your
experience here.
Unlike the mac build, this one is up to date with the latest features
the windows one has.

Notes:

The included "treesheets" file is the Linux executable. Just run this
file to
run TreeSheets. This executable was compiled on Debian GNU/Linux 5.0
and
should run on similar Linux distributions. Ensure you have wxGTK 2.8
installed,
as it is dynamically linked against. Under Debian, this package is
named
"libwxgtk2.8-0". If necessary, you may need to download wxGTK 2.8
from
http://wxwidgets.org/downloads/.

Hello !

I would like to try your software under Ubuntu intrepid 64, but I have
this error message :
treesheets: error while loading shared libraries:
libwx_gtk2u_richtext-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory

I have a link from libwx_gtk2u_richtext-2.8.so.0 to
libwx_gtk2u_richtext-2.8.so.0.5.0 in my /usr/lib so it should work...

But I cannot figure out how to solve this problem...

Thanks if you can help me.

I am no linux expert, but I am running Ubuntu myself, and I got TreeSheets to
run by simply selecting all wxwidgets 2.8 items in the synaptic package manager
(system -> administration).

If it doesn't run for you, it means you didn't install all packages.

A new linux release, for details, see main release post.

Thanks, Wouter,

It works nicely on my 32bit Ubuntu, too.

I'm running Arch Linux. My version of wxgtk is 2.8.9.2-1. Is it
possible to get a statically compiled version?

I'm getting this error:
** (treesheet:4464): WARNING **: IPP request failed with status 1280

Also, cursor keys give me funny characters:
<up> gives me Ļ
<down> gives me Ľ
<left> gives me ĺ
<right> gives me ļ

Ctrl+left and ctrl+right work fine - just like it says in item 12.
Ctrl+up and ctrl+down work too.
Shift+left and shift+right select text to the left and right. But
shift+up and shift+down do nothing.

Scrolling down by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the scroll bar
is extremely slow. Clicking in an empty area of a scroll bar scrolls
at normal speed. (Sorry - I don't know the correct terminology)

I'm glad you're porting this program to linux. I've been looking for
a program like this for years.

That is rather complicated to get right. You'll have to be up to
date on the latest wxwidgets to run treesheets, I'm afraid.

Googling that seems it is a problem with the printer setup.

I just fixed this, and uploaded a new linux release.

They're not assigned to do anything, so that is intended.

That's because it allows single pixel scrolling... a bit of a limitation on
how the arrows are implemented.

Hopefully this update will finally make it workable on linux :)
